Donlow's Buzzer Beater Leads Poland Past Canfield

Ben Donlow's tip-in, as the clock expired, led Poland past Canfield 73-71 Friday night.  The win means Canfield and Poland are Co-Champions of the Red Division of the All-American Conference.  Donlow finished with 14 points and eight rebounds on the night. 

With less than thirty seconds to play, Joe Hoelzel tied the game at 71 with a layup, and finished with 14 points on the night. 
Dan Campolito led all scorers with 21 points for the Cardinals, while Gene Wollet added 20 in the setback.  Mike Podolsky tallied 12 points for Canfield.

David Baker finished with 14 points for the Bulldogs, while Luke Wollet ended the night with 12 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Niko Fatimas finished the night with a dozen points in the victory. 

Poland finishes the regular season with a record of 19-1, while Canfield drops to 17-3.  The Bulldogs open tournament play on Wednesday March 3rd when they meet the winner of Crestwood/Southeast in the Division II Sectional Finals.  Tipoff is slated for 7:30 pm at Boardman High School.

Canfield's postseason run gets underway Monday March 1 in the Division I Sectional Semifinals against Uniontown Lake.  Tipoff is slated for 8pm at the Canton Civic Center.
