Brown, Mooney Rolls Over Boardman

Charlie Brown and Roosevelt Griffin scored two touchdowns apiece as Cardinal Mooney defeated Boardman 28-6 at Stambaugh Stadium.  The Cardinals finished the game with 307 total yards while holding the Spartans to only 103.

Brown's 48 yard touchdown run with 5:51 remaining in the game sealed the deal for the Cardinals.  He also scored with 11:56 remaining in the 4th.  Brown finished the game with 192 yards on 17 carries.

Griffin's second TD run put the Cardinals up 14-6 in the 2nd quarter. 

Following a Dan Popio interception, the Spartans took an early 6-0 lead on a Nick Buonavolonta TD run, but the extra point was blocked.

Cardinal Mooney (2-0) plays host to Lakewood St. Edward on Friday.  Boardman (1-1) entertains Akron Hoban.
