Chaney grad and current NFL wide receiver Brad Smith held his annual True Foundation youth football camp at Youngstown State on Saturday.
Hundreds of kids ages 8-14 showed up to the free camp to learn the fundamentals of football from Smith and some of his New York Jets teammates.
"I love how a guy cares and comes back and does camps," said 13-year-old Ronald Henderson. "He's actually here, and it's not just his name, and he brings other NFL players to come help us out."
"I played football for a long time now, and it's pretty cool to have an NFL player here and others, too," added 9-year-old Daniel Newman.
"I've learned from him, and I play flag football with my friends and so it's good to learn new things," camp participant Austin Nabb said.
"This is awesome. This is what I live for," explained Brad Smith. "To see the smile on kids faces, they can learn something. They can learn some discipline, and they just get to see people they don't normally get to see. It means a lot."
The NFL players even took time after the camp to sign some autographs.
