Toothman tossed the go ahead 16 yard touchdown with :38 left to lift the Quakers over Lakeview in Week 9. The win was Salem's 6th of the season after going 0-10 in 2008.
The junior quarterback is completing 67% of his passes for over 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns, and he has run for 850 yards and 11 more scores. He was named First Team All-Conference and All- County while earning a spot on the All-NEO squad.
Trent carries a 3.6 GPA, and plays basketball for Salem. Last spring, he qualified for the State Track Meet in the 4x1 relay.
