Tallen is averaging 5.7 yards a carry and 100 yards rushing a game during the Indians 2-0 start. His 31 yard touchdown run opened up the scoring in their win over Struthers in week two. In his junior season, Birmingham compiled 400 yards of offense and finished fifth on the team in tackles to earn All-NE Ohio, All-Trumbull County, and All-American Conference honors.
Birmingham has also been named All-County and All-Conference in both wrestling and baseball. On the diamond, he led Girard in RBIs, batting average and extra base hits.
Tallen carries a 3.8 GPA. He is a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Teen Institute.
