Adam Coppock has dabbled a little in just about every sport.
"I guess that was the first thing I started doing was t-ball at age five, and I was okay. Then I played soccer for a year, then I got into football in 3rd grade and basketball in 3rd grade," says Coppock.
Now a senior, Adam has all but mastered football, basketball, and baseball. He's on track to earn four letters in each sport, and has been named to the all-conference team multiple times in football and basketball.
Adam also holds the school record for most receptions made in a game.
"I guess the best part is probably scoring a touchdown. I guess that's the most exciting thing. In basketball, scoring a basket, or something like that. It's just exciting being out there competing against other people," Coppock says.
Outside of athletics, Adam also finds success in the classroom. He holds a 4.0 GPA and is in line to be Crestview's class valedictorian.
"I guess my sister set a good example for me. She was a valedictorian, and I got kind of jealous whenever she was up there giving her speech. I knew that I wanted to do it," says Coppock.
But the road to straight As isn't always an easy one.
"There's definitely been report cards where it's been close for me to get a B in a class, and it's kind of like oh man, I gotta start doing some more academics and a little less athletics. But, it's all worth it in the end," Coppock says.
Adam's success in and out of the classroom is why he is this week's Student Athlete of the Week.
