Monica is the Rockets record holder in cross country with a time of 18:53, which is also a personal best. Ciarniello has also qualified for the state meet three times, finishing 18th as a freshman, 6th as a sophomore, and 4th last season. She also recently won the Mahoning County meet with a time of 20:03.
In track, Ciarniello also owns the school record in the 1600, 3200 and the 4x800 relay. She is an Academic All- Ohio selection and a two time state qualifier.
With a 4.0 GPA, Monica is on track to graduate as a class valedictorian. She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, SADD, Spanish Club, Drama Club, and Youth Ministry, while also volunteeringher time for Angels for Animals and St.Vincent DePaul.
