Student Athlete of the Week is the longest running franchise in Valley television, dating back to the mid-80's. Every Thursday during the school year, we feature an area athlete who excels in sports and, more importantly, the classroom.
If you know a high school athlete who's got game, and the grade point average to match, send in a nomination to bcastrovince@myvalleysports.com. Please include the student's name, school, sport, list of accomplishments, GPA, and a contact number for his/her head coach. In the subject line, please include the nominee's last name along with "SATW."
We have also added a new feature to the website for the 2010-11 school year - the Student Athlete Honor Roll. While not everyone can be honored as a Student Athlete of the Week, many deserve recognition for their hard work in school and in athletics.
Watch MyValleySports.com on WYTV, WKBN, and WYFX every Thursday at 6, 10 and 11PM to see who is the next Student Athlete of the Week!
