	Student Athlete: Dan Moody Dan Moody is a two-sport star and class valedictorian for the Howland Tigers.
	Student Athlete: Allison Thirion Allison Thirion is team captain and an Academic All-American for the Warren Harding swim team.
	Student Athlete: Ali Gagne Lakeview's Ali Gagne not only excels on the court, but in the classroom as well.
	Student Athlete: Devonta Fleetion Devonta, known to his friends as D.D., is a three-sport athlete and in line to be class valedictorian.
	Student Athlete: Nick Gigax Struthers senior Nick Gigax golfs, bowls and plays baseball. He has a 4.0 grade point average and is in line to be class valedictorian.

What is Student Athlete?

Student Athlete of the Week is the longest running franchise in Valley television, dating back to the mid-80's. Every Thursday during the school year, we feature an area athlete who excels in sports and, more importantly, the classroom.

At the end of the school year we pick two featured Student Athletes of the Week, one male and one female, to be our Student Athletes of the Year.

If you know a high school athlete who's got game, and the grade point average to match, fill out the nomination form at the bottom of the page. Please include a list of accomplishments, GPA, community service, etc. All submissions will be part of our Student Athlete Honor Roll.

Joe Aulisio Bio

Joe Aulisio joined the 27 First News and First News at Ten on Fox team in May of 2005. He currently serves as the Assistant Sports Director and anchors sports for the First News at Ten on Fox during the week. Joe has been with myvalleysports.com since its launch in 2008. Aulisio was born in Elyria, Ohio and graduated from Elyria H.S. in 1999. He earned his college degree from John Carroll University in 2003. He spent a year and a half as Sports Director with WOHL/WLMO in Lima, Ohio. He currently resides in Canfield, and proudly roots for the Browns, Buckeyes, Cavaliers, and Indians.
