Chad Krispinsky Bio

Chad joined the 27 First News Sports Team in January of 2005. He serves as a reporter/anchor, and likewise performs play-by-play duties for the High School Football and Basketball Game of the Week. He also calls all of the action for the YSU Football, Men's and Women's Basketball & Baseball, and Mahoning Valley Scrappers Game of the Week broadcasts.  Chad has been with myvalleysports.com since its launch in 2008.

He was born and raised in Youngstown, and graduated from Cardinal Mooney H.S. in 1996. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University, as well as a Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Kent State University. Chad has also previously worked for Newsradio WTAM-1100 in Cleveland, serving as a fill-in host of the Cleveland Indians post-game talk-show "Extra Innings."
For his work in 2007, Chad was awarded second place by the Associated Press in the category of "Best Sports Broadcaster" in Ohio Medium Markets.

Currently, Chad is also a part-time faculty member at Youngstown State University, where he teaches Communication and Sports Marketing.

Chad currently resides in Boardman and is an avid Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers fan. He looks forward to covering the local teams here in the Valley for 27 First News and Fox Youngstown.
