YSU Resumes Dual Action

Bowling Green, Ohio -- The Youngstown State swimming and diving team was in action on Friday night at Bowling Green. Megan Ciampa and Casey Hill picked up wins for the Penguins in the dual meet.

The Falcons won the meet by a score of 177-115.

Ciampa finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:48.00 while Hill won the three-meter dive with a score of 249.65 and the one-meter with a total of 238.50.

Ashley Dow was second in the 100 back (59.30 seconds) finishing just 0.18 off the pace. Dow was also third in the 200 backstroke (2:13.23).

Laura Paz was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.13) and the 100 fly (1:00.43) and third in the 400 IM (4:50.18).

Kirstin Walker was third in the 200 free (1:58.09) and the 500 free (5:21.26) while Nishani Cicilson was third in the 50 free (25.28 seconds) and the 100 free (55.88 seconds).

YSU returns to action on Friday, Feb. 3 when it plays host to UIC. The contest is the final home meet for the Penguins seniors who will be honored prior to the meet.
