The San Francisco 49ers paid tribute to Edward J. Debartolo, Jr. for his contributions to the organization as he was honored as the first inductee to the 49ers’ Hall of Fame last night. The team recognized Debartolo, Jr. at a special halftime ceremony this afternoon.

During Debartolo’s twenty-two years as the team owner, San Francisco won five Super Bowls.

The former Michigan Wolverine caught 10 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown from Eli Manning tonight against the Dallas Cowboys...In the Redskins’ 9-7 win over St. Louis, Washington running back Marcus Mason (Former Youngstown State Penguin) carried the ball three times for five yards…Helping the Jets to their 16-9 upset victory over New England, Chaney alum Brad Smith rushed the ball once for seven yards…In Keilen Dykes’ (Chaney) first NFL game, the defensive tackle recorded a tackle as his Arizona Cardinals defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-17.
