Manningham finished the day with three receptions for fifty-eight yards and the score...In Indianapolis, former Ohio State receiver - Anthony Gonzalez - fell victim to a knee injury in the first quarter. Former Mount Union Purple Raider, Pierre Garcon, had three catches for twenty-four yards filling in for Gonzalez as his Colts defeated the Jaguars (14-12)...The New York Jets wide receiver Brad Smith, former Chaney Cowboy quarterback, ran the ball for 15 yards on a first quarter carry. The Jets beat the Texans today, 24-7.
On Friday, former Youngstown State linebacker Tim Johnson played in his third game with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. Johnson led the Stamps in tackles with 10 as Calgary edged the Eskimos, 35-34, from Edmonton's famed Commonwealth Stadium. Tim now has 24 tackles in the three games he has appeared in. Johnson was on the active roster of both the Oakland Raiders (2002-05) and the Baltimore Ravens (2005-06) in the NFL.
