Slippery Rock's offensive lineman, Brandon Fusco, was taken in the sixth round (172nd choice) by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2011 NFL Draft. Fusco, a Seneca Valley High School graduate, started all forty-four games in his college career. The 6'4, 316-pound center had 26-reps on the bench press at the NFL combine. Brandon is said to have a great attitude and an incredible motor.

The Vikings addressed the offensive line four choices before the Fusco pick with almost an identical clone of the Slippery Rock prospect in Demarcus Love (6'4, 315 lbs) from Arkansas.
