Westminster Advances to PAC Finals

Westminister advanced to the PAC Championship with an 8-4 victory over top-seeded Grove City on Saturday afternoon.

The Titans were led by senior Rick DeBlasio, who went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.

Picking up the win for Westminister was pitcher Vince Iosue. The junior was dominate, striking out eight Wolverines through eight innings and giving up just four runs.

Tyler Robinson sealed the win in the eighth with a two-run bomb to push the lead to four. He also doubled and finished the game with two RBIs.

Taking the loss for Grove City was Erick Locker, who gave up six runs (five earned) over six innings.

Catcher Doug Wells led the Wolverines offense with two doubles while freshman Tom Hawkley was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

The win advances the fourth-seeded Titans to the championship game where they will face the third-seed, Thomas More.
